MEET OUR VETERINARIAN

Dr. Jennifer Hamer was born and raised in Morgan City, LA and graduated from Morgan City High School in 1999. Like many veterinarians, her childhood was filled with a variety of animals and she rescued far too many to keep track with the numbers. Her entire family embraced the human-animal bonds they forged with their hamsters, fish, birds, cats, dogs, and chinchilla.

The love of animals continued through college at LSU and led her to Los Angeles where she was an emergency veterinary technician in a large specialty referral hospital. She then moved into the cardiology department and continued her hands-on veterinary education until she was accepted to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from LSU SVM in 2012, she worked in Baton Rouge until making the move to the Northshore to raise her family in a safe, tight-knit community.

She has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine, and surgery.
