Pet Surgery at Premier Veterinary Care
At Premier Veterinary Care and Resort, we understand that surgery can be a stressful experience for you and your pet. Rest assured that your pet's health and safety is our primary concern, and our team makes every effort to limit any stress or anxiety. We will go over the procedure so you know what to expect and address any questions or concerns.
Before surgery we perform a complete physical exam and bloodwork testing to evaluate your pet's surgical readiness and make sure they can handle anesthesia. IV fluids are administered intravenously, and we closely monitor your pet's vitals (heart rate, oxygen levels, blood pressure) throughout the procedure. Once surgery is complete, we continue to observe your pet for a couple of hours during the recovery period. Upon discharge, you will receive detailed instructions to help your pet recover comfortably at home.
Premier Veterinary Care and Resort provides comprehensive pain management care as well as laser therapy to treat post-surgical pain and improve healing.
