Pet Laser Therapy
Premier Veterinary Care and Resort offers laser therapy for pets. Laser therapy is a non-invasive and pain-free treatment that reduces pain and inflammation, promotes healing, and improves recovery from a variety of ailments. This innovative treatment has no side effects and will not hurt your pet—in fact, laser therapy can be paired with traditional medical modalities and is a good alternative to surgery or prescription drugs, especially for pets who don't respond well to certain medications.
At Premier Veterinary Care and Resort, our team uses laser therapy to treat pets recovering from injury or surgery to help with pain relief and improve healing. The term laser stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. Laser therapy uses deep-penetrating light energy to activate a positive cellular response which stimulates your pet's body to heal itself naturally. This scientifically proven practice warms and relaxes the muscles, and reduces pain and swelling by improving blood circulation.
Laser therapy is also used to treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions such as:
- Ear infections
- Wounds, bites, and cuts
- Muscle injuries
- Skin abrasions
- Post-surgical incisions
- Arthritis and joint disease
Older pets often benefit from laser therapy sessions as the treatment helps ease pain and stiffness from musculoskeletal problems and can improve overall joint function and mobility. The treatment only takes 5–10 minutes to complete and pets often feel better right away.
